In his 1969 novel Galactic Pot-Healer, Philip K. Dick defined the rules of The Game: take a famous title, translate it into a foreign language, have it translated back, and see if your opponent can guess the original title. Simple enough, but with homonyms and puns allowed and encouraged, it can result in some challenging puzzles.

An example of Dick's wordsmithery: Quickly Shattered at Quarreling Posteriors (1961) translates to Breakfast at Tiffany's.

38 years later, on this very website, The Game has been resurrected in a solitaire version. Can you identify these well-known horror films?

1. Chess Piece Belonging to the Very Exhausted (1968)
2. Scolds (1975)
3. The Radiant (1980)
4. Unnaturalized Foreign Residents (1986)
5. The Trumpet Charm Bulge (1999)
