At the time of this writing, The Logic Zone is a brand new UK site - so new, parts of it are still under construction. So there's not much of it to review, but what does exist is for the most part original and interesting.
There are four main sections: Logic Problems, Logic Puzzles, Cryptograms, and Other Puzzles. Logic Problems is a collection of Dell-style logic problems. Although the format is familiar, the content is highly creative. Which animal parts were combined by Dr. Von Strange to make bizarre new animals? Which mental patient thought they escaped what natural disaster and how? Which snowmen were made by which children, and what was wrong with them (the snowmen, not the children)?
The Logic Puzzles section contains more general logic challenges. The better ones have the same quirky tone, such as: which room contains the drunk man's angry wife, and which contains a pit bull? Others are not so interesting, or original: how tall is a particular tree? How much grass can 8 sheep eat in 12 days? Unlike the previous section, there are no answers available, which is frustrating. However, this section has clearly not been as developed as the other (at the time of this writing there are only 6 puzzles in it), and may improve as more puzzles are added.
Cryptograms is exactly what it sounds like; one nice feature is the ability to solve them online (which does not exist at other sites, for example, Puzzle Monster). Other Puzzles is still under construction.
In all, the site looks good, and promises good puzzles to come. Here's hoping it delivers!
