A fun, challenging word puzzle competition!
Every day, Euler's Day Off presents a new puzzle. Your task: arrange 25 letters within a 5x5 grid to form words vertically and horizontally. You get 1 point for each letter in each word, and are competing against other online players to see who can rack up the most points.
This is a great way for anagrammers and Scrabble players to kill 10 minutes and get some practice at the same time. Unfortunately, once you submit your best answer for the puzzle of the day, there's nothing else to do; there is currently no way to review or play previous puzzles.
There is an interesting feature that shows you what percentage of players got the highest scores for the previous day, but unless you happen to remember what your score was (there's no ranking list), it's not all that useful.
Euler's Day Off has a great puzzle concept, and the game itself is well-executed and has a reasonably easy-to-use interface. If there were simply more puzzles to play, it could be truly addictive.
