Puzzle 2: Dominating Lightbox

You stop in front of the Dominating Light Box with three silver dollars in your hand. The light box displays red, yellow and blue lights, one at a time, always in the following repeating order:

Rules posted on the front of the box tell you that a color is 'dominating' if there are more flashes of that color in a group than any other color.

You drop a dollar in the slot. The machine flashes lights too quickly for you to follow for a few seconds, then stops on red. A message appears on the monitor:

If you correctly predict the next color, you will win $10. Here are two hints:

  1. The 200th color after the color currently displayed will be the one least likely to dominate a group of 3 consecutive flashes.
  2. The 400th color after the color currently displayed will be a different color than the one described in Hint 1.

What will the next color be?
