PM: You not only offer your own original puzzles on BrainBashers, but also showcase others' work. How do you find people to work with?
KS: I'm always on the lookout for new ideas and material. I've showcased and launched many types of puzzles from many different people. If I like something I see, then I ask, and almost always they agree. BrainBashers gets new material, their website get lots of extra visitors. I always try to make sure both parties benefit.
PM: With whom have you had the best relationship so far?
KS: I'd say www.puzzle-loop.com was the most successful addition to BrainBashers, as their material has had a lot of interest, and their site has gained around 10,000 people a month from our venture.
PM: What is the most rewarding part of running BrainBashers?
KS: The emails I receive. I get around 10 every day, generally people thanking me. I get lots from teachers who've used my puzzles in class. I occasionally get an email from someone whose life has changed because of BrainBashers. Very recently someone emailed telling me about their recovery from a serious brain injury and how they were using BrainBashers, which was very heart warming.
PM: How do you see the website evolving in the future?
KS: Lots more material! I'm constantly looking around, playing other peoples games and puzzles, and asking them if I can share their work.
PM: What projects are you working on now?
KS: With lots of ideas and little time, I'll be thinking carefully about my
next project. If only I had more time! Perhaps in another 10 years I'll retire and make BrainBashers my career. That'll be 20 years since its launch!
